4:00 AM: Join us on an unforgettable journey to the breathtaking Rainbow Mountain Peru from Cusco City nestled at more than 5200 m.a.s.l. Your adventure begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel/Airbnb at 4:00 AM, to ensure an early start to maximize your time while summiting Rainbow Mountain Peru and returning early to Cusco City. Our comfortable vehicles are equipped with modern amenities, allowing you to rest plenty despite the season you come and guarantee your early arrival at Vinincunca Mountain.
6:30 AM: Upon reaching the community of Cusipata after 1 hour and a half traveling in the car, weâll treat you to a traditional Andean breakfast, providing you with the energy needed for the day ahead.
7:00 AM: Weâll venture off the beaten path for a scenic 1 hour and 20 drive. Along the way, youâll be captivated by the stunning landscapes, including picturesque highland farms and majestic, snow-capped Andean peaks such as the mighty Ausangate, the highest in the region.
8:00 AM: Once we arrive at the trailhead, our knowledgeable travel expert will provide a brief safety orientation and share valuable tips for hiking at high altitudes. Youâll have 10 minutes to get ready for the Rainbow Mountain Hike. With everything set, weâll embark on a gradual uphill hike toward the summit of Vinicunca in Peru. The duration of the hike is typically 1 hour and 45 minutes, but feel free to proceed at your own pace, considering the altitude.
09:30 AM: Upon reaching the summit, prepare to be greeted by a breathtaking view of the majestic Ausangate peak. Take your time to soak in the awe-inspiring scenery and capture memorable photos at the summit of Vinicunca Peru. Our travel expert will also share intriguing facts about the Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain and Andean traditions while you enjoy some snacks.
11:30 AM: After immersing yourself in the natural beauty of this remarkable destination, weâll begin our gradual descent back to the parking by the same trail.
1:00 PM: After one hour of driving we will arrive in a local restaurant in Cusipata for a delightful traditional Andean lunch, allowing you to savor the regionâs flavors.
1:40 PM: Finally, weâll return to Cusco City, with an estimated arrival time of 4:00 to 4:30 PM.

Hot spring - Santa Teresa
2 Embark on a 7-hour trek through the vibrant rainforest, starting with a 45-minute hike along the car route before joining the well-preserved Inca trail. This trail, the only one in good condition among the various Inca trails, once connected Machu Picchu with the final Inca capital, Vilcabamba.
Immerse yourself in the lush surroundings, encountering exotic fruits, diverse birdlife, and orchids, while enjoying breathtaking views of the Urubamba valley from the mountainâs summit. Descend for 2.5 hours to Qellomayo village for a satisfying lunch break.
Afterward, take a break in hammocks, then continue the trek for another 3 hours, passing through farms, waterfalls, and rivers (including a cable car crossing). By late afternoon, arrive at the Santa Teresa hot water springs, known as Cocalmayo, offering crystal-clear pools with different temperatures.
Relax in this idyllic setting surrounded by the river and starry skies. Following the hot springs experience, a 40-minute walk (or optional bus ride) leads to Santa Teresa town, where a comfortable hotel awaits. Enjoy dinner and socialize with fellow group members at one of the downtown bars.
