ITINERARY RAINBOW MOUNTAIN ATV TOUR
Join us on a tour to Rainbow Mountain in Peru, starting from the city of Cusco.
3:30 AM: We will pick you up from your hotel at 3:30 a.m. to make the most of your time. Then, we will embark on a journey from the city of Cusco, approximately 2 hours, to the community of Cusipata. Our vehicles are equipped with modern comforts, allowing you to rest and arrive at the starting point of the hike with recharged energy.
5:30 AM: Upon arrival in the community of Cusipata, you are invited to enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast that will provide the necessary energy for the day.
6:00 AM: From there, we will take a 45-minute drive to the starting point of the hiking trail. Along the way, you will be captivated by the impressive natural landscapes, views of nearby high Andean communities, and the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Andes, including the mighty Ausangate, the highest peak in the Cusco region.
7:30 AM: Once we reach the trailhead, our professional guide will provide a brief safety orientation and valuable tips for hiking at high altitude. With everything set, we will begin an uphill hike towards the summit of Rainbow Mountain. The average duration of the hike is one hour and forty-five minutes, but you can proceed at your own pace considering the altitude.
9:30 AM: Upon reaching the summit, you will have ample time to enjoy the view of Ausangate Snow Mountain and Rainbow Mountain. Capture memorable photos of this experience. Additionally, our professional guide will share interesting facts about Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain and Cusco Andean traditions.
11:30 AM: After enjoying this experience, we will begin our gradual descent back to the parking area. From there, we will transfer you to our local restaurant in Cusipata to enjoy a delicious traditional Andean lunch.
2:30 PM: Savor authentic regional flavors to recharge after the challenging hike.
3:50 PM: Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco with an estimated arrival time between 5:00 to 5:30 p.m.

At Eco Terra Lodge Santa Maria, weâll enjoy a tasty lunch and have the opportunity to go river rafting on the Vilcanota River, offering a thrilling level III and IV experience. Hot spring - Santa Teresa
2 Embark on a 7-hour trek through the vibrant rainforest, starting with a 45-minute hike along the car route before joining the well-preserved Inca trail. This trail, the only one in good condition among the various Inca trails, once connected Machu Picchu with the final Inca capital, Vilcabamba.
Immerse yourself in the lush surroundings, encountering exotic fruits, diverse birdlife, and orchids, while enjoying breathtaking views of the Urubamba valley from the mountainâs summit. Descend for 2.5 hours to Qellomayo village for a satisfying lunch break.
Afterward, take a break in hammocks, then continue the trek for another 3 hours, passing through farms, waterfalls, and rivers (including a cable car crossing). By late afternoon, arrive at the Santa Teresa hot water springs, known as Cocalmayo, offering crystal-clear pools with different temperatures.
Relax in this idyllic setting surrounded by the river and starry skies. Following the hot springs experience, a 40-minute walk (or optional bus ride) leads to Santa Teresa town, where a comfortable hotel awaits. Enjoy dinner and socialize with fellow group members at one of the downtown bars.
