SUPER SACRED VALLEY TOUR ITINERARY
CHINCHERO: BEGINNING OUR SACRED VALLEY TOUR
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your respective hotel to start our journey. Our first stop will be the town of Chinchero, famous for its textiles and ceramics. We will visit its colonial church, which contains important paintings dating from the 15th to the 17th century.
MARAS MORAY: âSALT MINES AND INCA LABORATORYâ
The next stop will be the circular agricultural terraces of Moray, an experimental agricultural center. We will then head to the Maras Salt Mines, which contain 200 salt ponds from which some of the best salt in the world is still extracted today.
We will proceed to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a typical restaurant, sampling the unique flavors of this region.
OLLANTAYTAMBO: âLIVING INCA CITYâ
After lunch, we will head to Ollantaytambo, known as the living Inca city, where we will visit its military fortress. We will tour this archaeological complex, built to protect the Sacred Valley from potential invaders.
At the end of the tour, we will return to our vehicle and head towards Pisaq.
PISAQ: âBIRD-SHAPED TOWNâ
On our way back to Cusco, we will visit the archaeological site of Pisaq, located on top of a steep mountain. We will take a moderate walk through this beautiful archaeological complex, where the majestic âInti Watanaâ can be found.
Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 PM. Our transport will take us either to the city center or, if it is a private service, to your respective hotel.

At Eco Terra Lodge Santa Maria, weâll enjoy a tasty lunch and have the opportunity to go river rafting on the Vilcanota River, offering a thrilling level III and IV experience. Hot spring - Santa Teresa
2 Embark on a 7-hour trek through the vibrant rainforest, starting with a 45-minute hike along the car route before joining the well-preserved Inca trail. This trail, the only one in good condition among the various Inca trails, once connected Machu Picchu with the final Inca capital, Vilcabamba.
Immerse yourself in the lush surroundings, encountering exotic fruits, diverse birdlife, and orchids, while enjoying breathtaking views of the Urubamba valley from the mountainâs summit. Descend for 2.5 hours to Qellomayo village for a satisfying lunch break.
Afterward, take a break in hammocks, then continue the trek for another 3 hours, passing through farms, waterfalls, and rivers (including a cable car crossing). By late afternoon, arrive at the Santa Teresa hot water springs, known as Cocalmayo, offering crystal-clear pools with different temperatures.
Relax in this idyllic setting surrounded by the river and starry skies. Following the hot springs experience, a 40-minute walk (or optional bus ride) leads to Santa Teresa town, where a comfortable hotel awaits. Enjoy dinner and socialize with fellow group members at one of the downtown bars.
